I doubt you will be surprised to hear that three of the things I am most passionate about are books, inclusivity, and supporting our local community. Therefore, I am thrilled to officially announce our partnership with Libro.fm – an employee-owned Social Purpose Corporation that shares profits from your audiobook purchases with your chosen bookshop, giving you the power to keep money within your local economy.
In 2014, Libro.fm launched with the goal to help independent bookshops across the globe sell audiobooks and benefit from the growing market. Now over 10 years later, they have 3,313 bookshop partners in 33 countries including Century Farm Books & Brews!
As a busy mom/business owner, audiobooks are the easiest way for me to read all the books that are constantly being added to my TBR. Don’t get me wrong, I love the feel of a physical book, the smell of the pages, and the ability to see the words on the page as well as illustrations and cover artwork, but when it comes right down to it, listening to a story just feels so good. It brings back fond childhood memories of my dad reading me bedtime stories, and it makes me feel more connected to my ancestors who relied on oral storytelling traditions.
Here at Books & Brews it’s the story that matters, not how you enjoy it, and we are so excited to be able to share this platform with our customers who are also passionate about audiobooks and shopping local. We encourage EVERYONE to make the switch from Au**ble and other Am**on owned platforms.
This Summer/Fall we will be participating in Libro.fms Audiobook Listening Challenge. We will have physical copies of the challenge at the shop, but I wanted to offer a sneak peak for my special earlybird blog readers! Once you have completed the checklist turn it back in at the shop to be entered for a chance to win this year’s prize (there will be a whole post about this coming soon).

Last but not least, I just discovered Libro.fm Merch and will be purchasing some shirts and a hoodie to rock around the store. I’d love to get some pictures twinning with customers and give away some complimentary beverages to anyone who matches me, so keep an eye out for announcements on our social media pages (and make sure to follow us on everything if you haven’t already!)
Until the next chapter,
