2025 Reading Wrap Up

Hello my darling readers, I’m back with another quick post about wrapping up my 2025 reading goal and kicking off 2026 with a much harder challenge! For the last several years my goal has been 1 book per week for the year (52 books) or 350 pages per week (18,200 pages). This year is the first time I have met/surpassed BOTH of those goals and I am soooooo impressed with myself! This year I read 72 books with a total of 34,503 pages.

As you probably know if you read my previous blog post about our upcoming book clubs, I have 49 book club books to read in 2026 and my goal is to read one “non-contractual” book for each of my “contractual/required reading” books which means my new reading goal is 98 books or 34,300 pages which sounds like a lot…but hopefully manageable! I have updated the letter board and look forward to keeping everyone updated on my progress throughout the year!

I do want to take a moment to share my top 10 books/series of 2025 in no particular order:

10. The Hobbit + LOTR Trilogy by JRR Tolkien

9. The Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson

8. For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn

7. A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna

6. City of Stardust by Georgia Summers

5. The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow

4.  Swordheart by T. Kingfisher

3. I, Medusa by Ayana Gray

2. Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson

1 . The Red Rising Series by Pierce Brown

Honestly picking only 10 books was way harder than I thought it would be. What were your favorite reads of the year? I’d love to hear your suggestions!

Until the next chapter,
